Barriers Against Women
Throughout the 20th century, women strived to break barriers and gain more rights. The World Wars exposed women to the world outside the home and changed their perspective of their role in society. Several civil rights laws aided women in fulfilling their quest for equality in voting, employment and wages. One key component lacking , however, was equity in education.
